Founded in 2012 and helmed by award-winning producers Amy Kim and Jaime Burke, Lifeboat Productions is a full-service production and development company that produces film, television, commercials, branded entertainment and interactive projects for a wide variety of budget levels and project styles.
JAIME BURKE
Co-founder & President
Prior to Lifeboat, Jaime produced several feature films and various digital projects including THE POSSESSION OF MICHAEL KING (Anchor Bay), THE PACT (IFC), UNREST (Afterdark, Lionsgate), THE BOOTH AT THE END: SEASON 2 (Hulu), and THE MILLIONAIRE TOUR (Hulu). Burke began her career in film while earning her MFA from the prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California. While there, she produced the award-winning short film SIT AND SPIN, and won the selective Sloan Production Scholarship that funded the acclaimed short, THE FIRST VAMPIRE.
AMY KIM
Co-founder & President
Amy Kim began her production career at Warner Bros. Television (while at the same time producing independent shorts and pilots, and serving on the IATSE boards). Her indie producing effort WEST BANK STORY earned her an Academy Award. Amy then became Director of Production at Nickelodeon (which also supported TV Land, Nick at Nite, and TeenNick) while also successfully managing development, current and on-air. She later joined Michael Eisner’s digital studio, Vuguru, as Head of Production, creating original scripted content for various partners including Hulu, AOL, and Yahoo. Since starting Lifeboat Productions, Amy’s digital space expertise has been sought after by major studios and networks.
Alan Kenny-Rudolph
Head of Production
With a passion for all things entertainment, Alan has spent the past 20 years as a film and TV professional working in all aspects of the industry for major motion picture companies, studios, and streaming platforms. He currently serves as Head of Production for Lifeboat Entertainment where he joined first in 2016 – 2018 as a coordinator and moved up to inhouse Producer. He then took a few years hiatus to pursue independent passion films and shows, and to raise his best project to date, his son. Kenny-Rudolph returned to Lifeboat in 2024 and oversees their multitude of varied projects. #IYKYK After graduating from NYU's TISCH School for the Arts in 2001, Kenny-Rudolph produced the short film "Beautiful Night", which premiered at the first Tribeca Film Festival in 2002, and subsequently Feature Films and TV series such as: "The Door in the Floor", "Stay", "Just My Luck", “My Super Ex-Girlfriend”, "Undone", “Blippi’s Job Show,” and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".
JOSH HETZLER
Producer
Josh Hetzler produced Hannah Pearl Utt's debut feature BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, starring Judith Light, Mandy Patinkin, Mike Colter and Alec Baldwin, premiering in dramatic competition at Sundance 2019. He produced Sheila Nevin's animated musical THE EMPEROR'S NEWEST CLOTHES for HBO, nominated for an Annie for best animated special, starring Alan Alda, Jeff Daniels, Alison Pill, Tim Heidecker and John Early. He produced Tim Blake Nelson's film ANESTHESIA, starring Kristen Stewart, Sam Waterston, Corey Stoll, Mickey Sumner, and Glenn Close, distributed by IFC Films. His other HBO animated film for Sheila Nevins, MY DEPRESSION, based on the graphic novel, features the voices of Sigourney Weaver, Steve Buscemi, and Fred Armisen. Josh produced HOLLIDAYSBURG, starring Rachel Keller, from executive producers Chris Moore and Zachary Quinto. The making of Hollidaysburg was documented for the television series THE CHAIR that premiered on Starz in the Fall of 2014. His films have screened at Cannes, Sundance, Slamdance, SXSW, Tribeca, IFC, and hundreds of other festivals and theaters around the world. His 2011 film THE HUNTER AND THE SWAN DISCUSS THEIR MEETING premiered at Sundance, and was awarded the National Board of Review Prize at his alma mater the NYU Graduate Film Program. SEED, his 2010 collaboration with Sundance-winning cinematographer Ben Richardson, took the grand jury prize at Slamdance. Josh is currently in production on a documentary for HBO and J.K. Rowling.
SEVAG DIRASSOYAN
Production Accountant
Sevag Dirassoyan has been working in accounting since 2008 and in production accounting since 2010. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2014 from California State University, Los Angeles and has worked on several TV shows as a production accountant or assistant accountant as well as an accountant for several corporations. Sevag Dirassoyan resides in Los Angeles and joined Lifeboat Productions in 2014.
Cinthia Maldonado
Office Manager
Cinthia Maldonado is a dedicated and talented professional in the television industry. She earned her bachelor's degree from Cal State Northridge before embarking on a dynamic career in production. Cinthia contributed to two seasons of The Goldbergs, gaining invaluable experience in scripted television. She then transitioned to children's programming, working on Blippi’s Job Show, where she connected with Lifeboat Productions. Her great sense of humor, patience, organization, and can-do spirit make her an invaluable member of the team.
